Pokemon remains of the most popular games for children. Although Pokemon is primary
targeted at youngsters, there are many young adults who like to play Pokemon. Pokemon
can be played on a Gameboy or on your computer. It is one of the most thrilling games
to play. The story revolves around the life of a 10 year old boy named Ash! Ash loves
Pokemon and dreams of becoming a Pokemon trainer one day. When he comes of age (in
the game, coming of age is 10), he ventures into the world of Pokemon. As a player, you
will be given a Pokemon (which you will have to choose) and you have to start playing.
Ash Ketchum wants to be the best Pokemon trainer in the universe and this is ultimately,
your objective in the game as well. Another important objective, set to you by Professor
Oak is to capture all Pokemon. There are 151 species of Pokemon and it is imperative to
catch them all (although the game can be done even while not doing so). Professor Oak,
for your assistance offers you a Pokodex. A Pokodex is an electronic diary which make
note of the Pokemon seen and caught.
Ashs adventure takes him all over the world where he fights trainers and captures
Pokemon. Most Pokemon genders do not really matter in the game and capturing a
female Pokemon is as good as capturing a male one. However, the exceptions to this rule
are some Pokemon like Nidoran, where the female and male species are separate. There
are many cities that you need to travel to and the task to do so is quite tricky. Pokemon
are found in grass areas. Different types of Pokemon are found is different parts of the
world and hence if you want to capture them all, you need to tour the world in order to
find and capture each Pokemon. An interesting thing is that some Pokemon appear only
at night.
Defeating trainers make your Pokemon stronger and ultimately helps them evolve.
Fighting gym leaders gives you not only experience but also an attack move and money!!
